Welcome to Ljanlji!

Behind every arrangement that leaves my hands, there is a beautiful, simple, and deeply human story.

My name is Ljiljana, and I live on a small farm in the heart of a Bosnian village — surrounded by sheep, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, dogs, and cats. My day begins with nature and ends with it. The seasons here are not an abstraction — they are my schedule of work, color, scent, and joy. Spring brings the first blooms, summer a rush of green, autumn the drying and preparing, and winter the quiet warmth of the hearth.

My daughter, who is studying, comes back whenever she can — not only to help with sales and social media, but to keep learning. Because right there, in these hands and this knowledge, lives one of the most beautiful things that can be passed down — skill and love for beauty, from mother to daughter, just as I once learned from mine.

Inspiration is never in short supply. I am surrounded by untouched nature, a rich local flora, and a vibrant folk heritage. I draw inspiration from the naive artists of Kovačica — those who turned village life, birds, fields, and celebration into great art from the everyday. I love ethnic patterns, embroidery, the tradition of marking the seasons and holidays, and the celebration of family life in all its forms.

Every material I use comes from my own surroundings — gathered, dried, and preserved naturally, without chemicals and without waste. My arrangements are 100% natural and biodegradable. They leave almost no environmental footprint — unlike cut flowers that travel thousands of miles in refrigerated trucks, or plastic decorations that linger in nature for centuries. And because they last for years with a little care, each arrangement is also a small act of resistance against the throwaway culture of our time.

Ljanlji is not a brand. It is my story — the story of my farm, my family, and a way of life worth preserving and celebrating.

Welcome.
